I want to put my house on the market, but I don’t want to move until the end of the school year. When would you suggest that I start the process?

Many Sellers want to wait until their kids finish the school year before making a move. However, people that have moved in the middle of the school year have reported that their kids are made to feel welcome as newcomers by their classmates, because they are not in the midst of a transition. There is also an added benefit of being aware of summer plans, like camps, by becoming connected earlier. If you do decide to wait to sell until the end of the school year, you should engage an agent as soon as possible so your agent can give you advice on repairs and/or low costs updates that could bring you more money, help with staging and guide you through the selling process.
